Ruth and I had a wonderful time of ministry and fellowship with our friends in Surabaya from 24-26 Sept 2016.
We left Singapore early on Saturday morning (24 Sept) on 7.50 am flight to Surabaya. We met Hindun and Yeanni at the airport when we arrived and they brought us to Jugo and Irene’s home as we will be staying there for 2 nights.
Jugo and Irene treated us with a Tim Sum lunch at JW Marriot before heading for the venue of our Marriage Seminar. About 58 people attended the seminar and everyone felt blessed and ministered throughout the time. The couples discovered their love language, wrote love letters to each other, prayed for each other and renewed their marriage vows. We ended the Seminar at 9.30 pm.
On Sunday 25 Sept, Ruth left early with Jugo and Irene to Tretes where she preached a Marketplace sermon at GBI Church there. Hindun and Yeanni came and drive me to JKI Church where I preached and ministered to the people there. Hindun and Yeanni brought me out to lunch at Banana Cafe in Galaxy Mall.
After lunch, we went to Kembang Kuning Cemetery where we saw many slum people living there. We met up with some the slum people and distributed used clothings that we brought from Singapore and a bag of rice and cooking oil. Steven Khu and family treated us for dinner and we did a little shopping before returning back to rest for the day.
This morning (26 Sept), we woke up early to leave for the airport at 7.45 am. We had a smooth flight home.
We were blessed! God gave open doors for us to minister and touch more lives through the Marriage Seminar, preaching at two churches on Sunday morning and to bless the poor. Our friends in Surabaya have been so generous towards us and we want to say thank you for your love and sacrifices that you make to organise the Marriage Seminar, your love gift, all the meal treats and to bring us around so we can serve alongside with you.
